Editorial method
Useful before prolific.
Japan Product Radar is an independent English-language release tracker. It is built for people outside Japan who need to know what is real, which exact model was announced, when it may be available and what still requires checking.
- 01Find a candidate
Automation watches current product announcements from Japanese makers and institutions. A trend is only a lead, never evidence by itself.
- 02Open the primary source
We require an official announcement plus an official product or specification page. Rumors, leaks and social reposts do not qualify.
- 03Locate a buyer decision gap
We ask what an international reader needs next: exact model codes, sale status, compatibility, sizing, region limits or unresolved price and warranty questions.
- 04Write confirmed and unknown separately
Missing information stays missing. We do not turn an expected date into stock, a global page into local availability or a suggested use into first-hand experience.
- 05Recheck before publishing
Dates, measurements, variants and claims are matched to linked source pages. Each report shows when that check happened.
- 06Update from evidence
When official pricing or regional dates appear, the report can be revised with a new checked date. Corrections take priority over publishing another page.
Our no-post rule
There is no daily publishing quota. If a candidate lacks reliable primary evidence or a useful decision gap, no report is created. The site may remain quiet rather than pad an archive with thin summaries.
How automation and AI are used
Automated tools help discover candidates, compare source pages, structure notes and run factual, accessibility and technical checks. Every published claim must still trace to the source ledger shown on the report. AI output is not treated as a source, and generated copy is not published merely because a trend exists.
We do not use AI-generated product photography or imply that we handled a product when we did not. A report labeled “not a hands-on review” is desk research and decision support, not a test or endorsement.
Commercial links
There are currently no affiliate links or paid placements on Japan Product Radar. If commercial links are added later, they will be labeled clearly and will not change the evidence threshold or placement of unresolved information.
Coverage boundaries
The radar focuses on consumer products where exact specifications and availability help a practical decision. It does not automate coverage of politics, finance, medicine, safety incidents, rumors, leaks or other topics where rapid aggregation can create disproportionate harm.
